Club Call Signs

We currently have two club call signs.  The vanity call N5CCW was acquired for use at the National Weather Service for the ham station at that location.

The vanity call N5CRP was acquired for use on all club owned repeaters and for use at special events and contests such as Field Day.

Club Repeaters

The club owns and operates 3 repeaters in the Corpus Christi area which are coordinated through the Texas VHF Society..  Each of the repeaters requires a sub-audible (PL) tone of 107.2

146.82 Repeater
This repeater is located near Petronilla.  The antenna is located on a commercial tower at approximately XXX feet.  The repeater is a GE Master II repeater with an output of XXX watts.

146.88 Repeater
This repeater is located on the top of Spohn Shoreline Hospital.  The antenna is located on the top of an elevator shaft building.  The repeater is a Yaesu xxx repeater with an output of xxx watts.  This system utilizes a Link Communications RLC-CLUB controller with an open autopatch.    Autopatch Guide

Club Library

The club has a library of ARRL books that are available for check-out to club members for a two week period.  Please contact kc5ykx@arrl.net to arrange access to any of the books.

Club Test Equipment

The club currently has a Tektronics xxx oscilliscope which was given to the club by the National Weather Service.  There is something wrong with the secondary trace input, but the primary input is supposed to be functional.

WAS - WORKED ALL STATES AWARD
If you have QSL cards confirming contacts from all 50 states(the District of Columbia counts as MD), bring your cards and proof of current ARRL membership to apply for the Worked All States Award. The basic award fee is $10 (certificate), and the endorsement fee is $7.50. Get the Adobe .PDF or HTML application form from the ARRL Website for Worked All States Award (WAS)

VUCC - VHF/UHF Century Club Award
If you have confirmed contacts from at least 100 different grid squares, bring your cards and proof of current ARRL membership to apply for the VHF/UHF Century Club Award. The basic award fee is $10 (certificate and pin), and the endorsement fee is $5. Get the Adobe .PDF application form from the ARRL Website for VHF/UHF Century Club (VUCC)
