Punch and cookies for all!!

This was our first real meeting since November since we only have the Christmas dinner in December.

Klint, KE5FMN, was busy taking everyone's money for club dues for 2010. Have you had a chance to pay yours yet?

The meeting was short and sweet. We took nominations for officers and directors. Elections will be at the February meeting, February 25th.

There were some announcements about upcoming events (Field day, Museum ship day, etc)

The after meeting, a program was given by the newly appointed A.R.E.S. Nueces County Emergency Coordinator, Steve, W2MY. He gave a presentation on a reliable way to connect PL-259 connectors to coax, and he also spent some time showing us connecting a PowerPole connector. His presentations are available on the Nueces County ARES web training page along with a lot of other useful information.

Steve has also setup a Nueces County ARES Yahoo Group and invites all that are interested to join.

We had a number of door prizes this month and seems that ALMOST everyone went away with something.
