Thanks to all that came out for the event. A special thanks to Klint for bringing out the additional antenna and mast for us. During the 24 hour period, we setup the antenna, extra HF radio, talked about radios, ate some GREAT food, and listened to a short presetnation. We had 16 hams & family show up for the lunch and after meal presentation. Come to think of it, we made some contacts with NWS offices and some non-NWS offices. During the event, we contacted 37 NWS offices from across the country. We made total of 70 unique contacts during the event. Bands were OK, but not great, so I guess we did pretty good. We operated on HF SSB, PSK31, and IRLP via the W5DCH node. Thanks to John Metz, Warning Coordination Meteorologist, KD5WIV, for hosting the event, and the rest of the NWS staff for putting up with us during the amateur radio invasion.
