11th Annual !!!!
Coastal Bend Hamfest

WHERE:   Hill Top Community Center
                Corpus Christi, TX

Thanks to all that came out and participated in this event.  We had 100 people register for the hamfest.  Everyone seemed to have a good time. 

There was a large group of tailgater's and most of the tables inside were filled with vendors and swapmeet people.  A special thanks to Jubilee Enterprises and International Electronics for their support of the hamfest.

The forums were well attended.  Forums included:

ARRL & ARES forum hosted by AD5CA - Mark
    with our New Section Manager, W5LHC - Lee Cooper
    and our New Section Emergency Coordinator,  N5TW - Tom Whiteside
Skywarn Basic & Intermediate - KD5WIV - NWS Warning Coordination Meteorologist John Metz

A lunch of BBQ sandwiches, green beans, chips, and a drink were served.

Our Grand Prize Winner of the Icom V8000 2m radio was K5CNZ - Jab Murray.

We had a good testing session at 1pm.  Results of the exams can be seen on the New Hams & Upgrades page
