Thanks to everyone that came out and shared in our Annual Christmas Dinner. We had about 40 hams and spouses and children in attendance. The room was great for the event and the food and fellowship were even better. All comments about the location have been positive so far.

Steve, W2MY, presented the STARC Amateur of the Year Award to Linda Shell, W5LSS. All of the nominees were extremely deserving of the award. A special thanks to all those that voted.

W2MY, then recognized some hams with the "Presidential Award", a framed certificate, to those that had helped him during the past year.

As part of the event, we took up a collection for the Food Bank of Corpus Christi. Through the generous donation of those in attendance, we collected $100. The Food Bank states that for every $1, they can purchase 16 pounds for food. With that in mind, as a club we donated 1600 pounds for food through this donation.
