2007 Happenings

It is another new year and Ham Radio is alive and flourishing in the Coastal Bend.

With the recent ruling that Morse Code is not longer required for any of the Amateur radio licenses, we have seen not only an up surge in the number of people of upgrading to General or Extra, but also the number of people taking the Techinican test.

This is a great time to be in Amateur radio!!! It is also a great time to invite your family and friends to join the ranks as Ham operators.

With that in mind, we need to keep offering opportunities for the Ham community to get together to practice our hobby and also come together to socialize and share in our experiences.

We need everyone's help to keep Ham radio thriving the Coastal Bend by supporting the club at our monthly meetings and by participating in all the activities. We have had a great turnout at all the events so far this year!!!!!
